Shoes 2 Share is a not-for-profit, grassroots ministry with a heart to serve. We seek to make life more comfortable, for children and their families, by providing them with donated "new & like new" shoes!
Without shoes, those in need find increasing hardships that include not being able to attend school, church or work. Simply playing is also a huge issue, as many without shoes, get injured and are subject to infections that many times lead to life threatening disease. In the worst cases, amputated limbs and even death occurs in other countries. As we grow, won't you grow with us by contacting Shoes 2 Share today. You'll find out how easy it is to help those in need! We're always busy preparing for the next pickup & delivery and we are so thankful for your interest & support. HOW IT ALL STARTED The SHOES 2 SHARE mission was laid on my heart during our time spent in Haiti, while adopting two of our children. While traveling back & forth to the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, we saw a huge need for kids without any shoes. As a family, we started collecting gently used shoes in the states. Several times we took suitcases full and distributed them to many of the street kids, as well as, the children in the orphanages we were working with. Though our efforts seemed adequate while collecting, the need for more shoes far outweighed what we alone could do. We emptied those suitcases faster than it took to pack them up. Each pair given brought SMILES, TEARS & COMFORT to many children. For a time, these children & their families now had new shoes for work, school & church or to simply walk, run & play without seriously hurting themselves. But not enough shoes could fit into our two suitcases alone. There is a much bigger need. One that is heartbreaking to see, one that is hard to turn your back on and one that is not easy to walk away from. This is what continues to spur us on! We are continually humbled by the goodwill of so many to help provide shoes to those in need. Each of us can do a little that together adds up to a whole lot! What started out as a couple dozen pair of shoes transported by luggage has now become shoe filled warehouse space being distributed to countless of people in great need! ~ RW
Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching! Hebrews 10:24-25
